Runs very SLOW on old XP computer

I have an old laptop that originally had XP on it and really needed updating. I installed Zorin OS yesterday and it ran way too slow. Probably due to all the eye candy animated folders, windows, etc. I then installed Ubuntu but it was very slow too. I then found Linux Lite OS (based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) and installed it, it runs fast and smooth! Give it a try if you don't have the computer resources to run Zorin OS. 32 bit download should be disabled because these old computers can't handle it. :cry: http://www.LinuxLiteOS.com

Too bad that won't work for me - only 4gb drive space. Wish I could get some of the install on my 32gb sd card.

My old XP laptop only has a 30 GB hard drive, runs fine! Loads ISO off of a 700 MB CD. SD card or USB stick would work too! :D
