MULTIPLE CD ROM INSTALLS

SILVERFOX

Ok, I've asked this question before and I've tried the examples but the problem with it is some games during the install has a different look each time. Some interfaces will let you pick the path some won't. Odd and frustrating.

I tried to install Return to Castle Wolfentstein and no matter what I did (copy the files over off of the second disc, $wine eject, remounting) it still didn't work. I have the Zorin 8.1 Gaming. I installed Unreal the other day and when it asked for the second CD I just directed it to the file I built on the HDD and it work, but wouldn't play.

So, any other suggestions? Is this a bug that was fixed on the Zorin 9? Should I try and put them all on a DVD and see if that works?

I SO WANT TO GET RID OF WINDOWS AND PLAY MY GAMES, but I need to be able to get this fixed so I can.

I love Zorin and I've been trying to get some of my office mates on it too. Out of all the different Distros I've tried, this has been the best.

Thanks for you help in advanced.

Hi, I would firstly head over to codeweavers and see if your games are listed:

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/

Have you tried installing using PlayOnLinux?

Yes, I have been using POL and that's where I'm getting the issues that I'm talking about. I even went in and configured Wine to go to the CDRom but it still won't work.

I would advise you check the Codeweavers website for games that run and also wine.hq
